My Journey

La Bonita was born from resilience, strength, and the unwavering spirit of women. My mother, a strong and determined woman, raised three daughters on her own after divorcing at the age of 30. Despite having limited resources, she always encouraged us to pursue our dreams.

From a young age, I was determined to explore the world, study business, and communicate in English. My journey started in New Jersey, USA, where I studied with the support of my aunt. After six months, I returned to Colombia to save money, then travelled to San Francisco, California, for a semester at a business school. Finally, I moved to London to pursue my master’s in international business.

After six years in the UK, I knew it was time to build something meaningful—something that could empower women, just as my mother’s resilience had empowered me. That’s how La Bonita was born: a coffee brand that not only celebrates exceptional flavours but also uplifts women affected by abuse and poverty.

At La Bonita, every cup of coffee tells a story of hope, strength, and new beginnings.
